Well we knew that they were delicious and now we can say that our sausages won a Silver Award presented on behalf of the British Sausage Appreciation Society!
We make our sausages using the shoulder meat from our Pedigree British Saddleback pigs, a litle light seasoning and rusk and very light/ natural thin casings. The Team at Hereford House Butchers in Droitwich actually makes our sausages, Kate is now trusted to link them and packs them, but so far has not mastered the actual art of sausage making….. I am saying nothing as I have not had a go yet! Having been delighted with the feedback from friends we decided to enter them into this competition. Originally we were going to enter 2 types of sausage, our Traditional Saddleback sausage and a new prototype….. Plummy Sausage. However we did not progress from the planning stage with our prototype, and in fact the sausages we entered were not made specially for the event as we had a tight deadline. So watch this space for next year!
