Fuel !

So I went to the garage this morning at 06.30 to fill up the cans for the generator……….. to find the pumps empty! We are dependant still on our petrol generator for power at Willow Farm. So no fuel means no electricity which means no water or light! Light we can manage without….. but water is one of lifes essentials and our animals need it! The power pumps the water from our bore hole! So we are rather concerned about the next few days……… we do have some petrol but all this panic buying, leaving the pumps dry, could give us big problems.

But some good news is

Our little lamb is now suckling.

Not the strongest lamb in the world but improving 🙂

So we are relieved of bottle feeding …. phew!

Latest arrival at Willow Farm ……….a Ferguson Spring Tine Cultivator

Sorry lambing live followers………. no lambs yet but look what we have got……….

 

It is a spring tine cultivator which will fix on behind our tractor and turn our newly ploughed veg plot into a fine tilth.

So once again we had a physics project in how to get it of the truck. The obvious answer was use the tractor to lift it up and drive the truck off and Kate keep an eye to make sure it did not rotate and bash something.

Slight hitch was that we couldn’t find the tractor key……… for a while!!

 

Kate and James did spend quite a while looking lovingly at the bit of metal. Which needs a little bit of work but Kate and James with their college machinery experience should be able to work out a plan.

So once more the tractor did the job 🙂

and doesn’t the truck look good 🙂
